Mihai-Cosmin Pascariu

Dr.eng. Mihai-Cosmin Pascariu (age 36) is a chemical engineer and works inside the Renewable Energies – Photovoltaic Laboratory since 2016.

Besides his long experience in chemical (organic/inorganic) synthesis (monosaccharide derivatives, coordination compounds and oxidic systems) he is also well-trained in physical-chemical analysis methods, including spectroscopy/spectrometry (UV/VIS, infrared, fluorescence, NMR, mass spectrometry, atomic emission spectrometry), chromatography (GC, HPLC, TLC) and thermal analysis (TG/DTG, DTA, DSC). During his PhD years at Politehnica University of Timișoara he worked within the local macromolecular research group towards obtaining and characterizing biocompatible and biodegradable carbohydrate-based surfactants and polymers. More recently he became involved in the synthesis of oxidic nanomaterials from organometallic precursors.

He published 13 ISI papers, has an Hirsch-index of 3 and 36 citations.
