Alexandra Ioana Bucur

Dr.chem. Alexandra Ioana Bucur (physico-chemist, graduate of West University of Timisoara, 2003) has expertise in the synthesis and characterization of hydroxyapatite. During the doctoral studies (2003-2007) she performed researches regarding some calcium phosphate compounds by thermal analysis and studied their decomposition by nonisothermal kinetics using more methods.

She has been a scientific researcher at INCEMC since 2007, period during which she acquired competences in the x-rays diffraction field, using the existant equipment of the institute (She was the X-Ray Diffraction Laboratory head during 2009-2012). She has expertise in the synthesis of hydroxyapatite by methods: precipitation, sol-gel and hydrothermal, and physico-characterization of this ceramic material by known methods. Recent preoccupations include porous tridimensional hydroxyapatite structures and hydroxyapatite electrodeposition on metallic substrates (having a pattent application at OSIM regarding the last matter, status: accepted).

She was a member of the research team of 13 national projects and one bilateral project with Republic of Moldova.
