Together with the team, Dr. Radu Bănică has patented models of photoreactors and photocatalysis setups, as well as unique methods of obtaining microcrystalline compounds. He presented for the first time a photochemical synthesis of silver triangular nanosheets on the surface of porous hematite microparticles obtained by topotactic decomposition of ferrous carbonate. Between 2018-2020, dr. Radu Bănică studied, within the PCCDI contract 42/2018, the obtaining of three-dimensional structures based on graphene, graphene oxide and three-dimensional nanostructures based on silver nanowires, used in sensor design. It also manufactured two types of new freeze dryers, one of which being in the patenting stage, and has manufactured aerogels using these new devices. Also, during the coronavirus pandemic, he carried out activities for designing and manufacturing personal protective equipment and for determining their efficiency.
Biol.dr. Cristina Moșoarcă is a scientific researcher at INCEMC Timișoara since 2006. Through the use of existing equipment in LERF and in other laboratories, she has acquired competences in the field of porosimetry (BET), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and mass spectrometry (ESI-MS). She possesses expertise in the synthesis of silver-based nanostructures and nanostructured carbon materials.
